在强调自我意识与全球意识的当下社会，个体意义的层次集中向两端发展——一端是纯粹的自我的个人，另一端是作为巨大集体社会载体的个人。在这两端之间出现了一个断层——人们对于“附近”的关注日益弱化。

经过一个漫长的待工季度，南希艺术画廊将在五月推出新展“告诉我ta的样子——在附近消失前”。通过展出杜海军、廖扬、刘婷等艺术家的作品为观众呈现艺术家捕捉的“附近”的模样。自然、社区、街头......不同的“附近”视角折射了艺术家们对生活的深度体察，物物相连、事事相关，在这些作品中，人、事、物在附近的场域里相互交织，碰撞出了紧密的联系。通过抽象化或具象化的手法，艺术家在作品中将个体的意义投射到了世界上众多要素的聚合，每个人都不再是一个闭环，不是一个自在自为的主体，而是一个变化着的、历史条件下的聚合。

In the current society that emphasizes self-awareness and global consciousness, the level of individual meaning tends to concentrate on two sides. One is the individual as the pure self, and the other is the individual as a part of the huge social collective. This phenomenon leads to a deep gap in between, in other words, people's concern about "nearby" is weakening.

Through abstraction or figurative techniques, the works of artists project individual meaning to the aggregation of many elements in the world. Everyone is no longer a closed loop, not a free-standing subject, but a changing, Aggregation under historical conditions.

Nancy Art Gallery will launch a new exhibition in May, which named as "Catch the Vanishing Neighbor". Through exhibiting art works of several artists, including Du Haijun, Liao Yang and Liu Ting, audience will get to see the look of "neighbor” captured by the artists. Nature, communities, streets ... various perspectives reflect the artist's in-depth insight into life. In these art works, objects are all connected, and things are all related, more and more spark is collided within the neighbor field.
